“A Memory of Wind” by Rachel Swirsky

I stumbled across a hauntingly beautiful story at Tor.com yesterday. Rachel Swirsky’s “A Memory of Wind” is a  re-imagining of the story of Iphigenia, daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra of Greek myth.

The author’s use of language is nothing short of masterful. The story would make me gnash my teeth with envy (of the wonderful writing) if only I had not enjoyed reading it so much.

It is rather long, but worth the time.
